She lost yesterday, but they could still find tomorrow.
The sad truth is: Martha cannot remember her life. Or her family. Or even her own name.
After being fished out of the sea three years ago, Martha has been living at an abbey, unable to unearth more than little bits and pieces about herself. Her joy of gardening. Her love for the outdoors. Her unruly tongue…that utters too much instead of keeping it safely sealed inside.
But Martha is content…or tries to be…
…at least until a dashing young gentleman comes to the abbey one day and upends her life yet again.
Because, apparently, her name is not Martha. Of course!
Her name is Agnes Bottombrock. Yugh!
Or it used to be because, now, she is AGNES BARRETT, COUNTESS OF WENTFORD. Truly?
And…she is his wife! Sigh!
The moment GRANT BARRETT, EARL OF WENTFORD, met his Nessa for the very first time, he believed himself lost in a dream. He loved the unflinching way her eyes met his. He loved how she snapped at him to stay away from her. He loved the way her breath shuddered past her lips as he drew closer.
He loved her.
And then he lost her.
Forced to bury his heart, Grant spent three endless years mourning his wife, missing his wife, yearning for his wife…until a rumor sends him up north to a remote abbey. As though nothing happened, Nessa suddenly stands before him once again, not a figment of his imagination, not a distant memory, but a woman of flesh and blood.
A woman who does not remember him.
Or their love.
Yet Grant is far from discouraged. After the insurmountable chasm of death that stood between them before, conquering his wife’s heart all over again should be an easy feat, should it not?
Brimming with emotional angst, family bonds, and redemptive romance, How to Wake a Sleeping Lady is a stirring story that speaks to the enduring power of love, forgiveness, and finding one’s way back home.

Well! If you want to have fun, laugh, snigger and totally enjoy a story, then this is the one to read.
I have so enjoyed it!
It has the perfect balance of hilarity, seriousness and how to deal with familial invasions into a newly wedded couple's lives.
As for the young couple's characters, I cringed many a time on the behalf of Cora and Liam for the utter frustration and totally ridiculous situations which they kept having to deal with. Their patience, until there was none left, was remarkable and the individual strengths which both of them had was just perfect.
I loved this story so much and am more than happy to leave you my voluntary review having just finished reading an early copy of this delightful book.
#1 Once Upon a Devilishly Enchanting Kiss 5* - Ever since Louisa overheard a conversation at a ball, she has hated Phineas Hawke with a passion. It doesn’t help that every time she sees him he teases and needles her, and now his brother has wed her cousin they are thrown together even more.
After a bad judgment call on Louisa’s part leads to anguish and fear for a sibling, her guilt nearly breaks her but an unexpected outburst provides Phineas with an opportunity to gain her trust, and perhaps her affection. Highly recommended romance.
#2 Once Upon a Temptingly Ruinous Kiss 5* - Leonora is haunted by the incident which happened months ago but knows she must rejoin society. On first meeting Drake Pemberton her reaction to him is similar to any man outside of her family but something changes, he seems to understand her and quickly becomes someone she feels safe with. As time goes by he helps her feel stronger and regain her self-confidence. Can there be more between them? Loved the plot, the interaction between the family and the final denouement when Leonora stands up for herself even at great personal cost.
#3 Once Upon an Irritatingly Magical Kiss 5* - A delightful enemies to lovers romance. Christina is determined to protect her friend from an unwanted marriage but how far will she go and what will she do when she discovers he is not the ogre she thinks? Loved this story, the characters, the family element and the adorable little girl Samantha.
#4 Once Upon a Devastatingly Sweet Kiss 5* - Impetuous, stubborn and wildly independent, Lady Harriet is determined to never lose her identity by submitting to marriage. However her love for mending hurt animals has found a new focus on the rigid, lonely Duke living next door to her sister. Bradley Jackson, Duke of Clements closed his emotions off many years ago, if ‘Harry’ bring him back to life, will her life change also?
#5 Once Upon an Achingly Beautiful Kiss 5* - This is both a friends to lovers and a second chance romance - two of my favourite tropes combined. Having read all the previous books in this series, it was obvious that Grandma Edie had been deliberately keeping men from courting her for a reason. I suppose it was a little slow in the reader finding out exactly why Kit had left six years previously but the ending was truly moving and beautiful. I read the entire story in one sitting.
#6 Once Upon An Accidentally Bewitching Kiss 4* - A Sweet Second Chance. One kiss changed everything but too late to stop Nora marrying another. Now Nora is a widow but Troy is loath to risk his heart again and in Nora’s mind there is an insurmountable problem to their ever being together. However neither of them have taken Grandma Edie into account!
