AlleABOUT BREE
BREE WOLF is a USA Today bestselling author and award-winning word wizard, who is rarely seen without a book in hand or fingers glued to the keyboard.
He left to forget her; he returned to fight for her.
Lady Juliet Beaumont, eldest daughter to the Earl of Whickerton, has known the sting of a love lost. With her romantic aspirations buried deep in the past, she now finds solace as her grandmother’s companion, embracing the joyful chaos of her vibrant and unconventional family. But beneath her contented exterior, Juliet's heart whispers of what might have been, forever yearning for the man whose memory refuses to fade. Can one truly move on when their heart belongs to a ghost of the past?
Lost love isn't lost, just waiting for the right moment.
Christopher Hurst, the reluctant Earl of Lockhart, once left England—and Juliet—behind, chasing horizons he hoped would dull an unrequited love. But the heart knows no distance, and his love for Juliet only crystallized with each mile he traveled. When the formidable Dowager Countess of Whickerton, affectionately known as Grandma Edie, summons him home, Christopher returns, haunted by the fear of finding Juliet irrevocably pledged to another.
He left as a friend. He returns as a suitor.
As Christopher steps back onto English soil, the weight of unspoken truths hangs heavy. When their paths cross again, and Juliet’s emerald eyes meet his with a spark of the old affection, he is determined not to let her slip through his fingers again.
She moved on, or so she thought—until he came back.
In the dance of rekindled affection and old wounds, Juliet must decide if her heart is truly lost, or merely waiting to be found. As for Christopher, he must navigate the delicate art of wooing a woman who believes her heart is no longer hers to give.
She's the chapter he never closed—now he's back to finish the story.

As always, the Wickerton family is a rowdy bunch that makes sure their family is happy. Juliette, the first born has tried very hard to be happy with her life of caregiving to her Grandma Edie. But Edie has other plans….and Juliette’s childhood friend, Christopher’s , return is the plan. I adored how all of the sisters worked together to see the plan unfold. Christopher’s secret is hard to bear, but he finally realized that the only road to happiness is the truth. Seeing his mother finally explain her attitude towards her son is heartbreaking and I loved how the author chose not to make it and easy road to recovery. Bash is adorable and to see Juliettes heart intertwined with his is so satisfying . Now if we can only get Troy to be happy…..
This is both a friends to lovers and a second chance romance - two of my favourite tropes combined. Having read all the previous books in this series, I have been looking forward to Juliet’s story as it was obvious that Grandma Edie had been deliberately keeping men from courting her for a reason. I suppose it was a little slow in the reader finding out exactly why Kit had left six years previously but the ending was truly moving and beautiful. I read the entire book in one sitting and look forward to the next book in the series.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tender-hearted and warm romance between Juliet, the eldest Whickerton sister who's become responsible for Grandma Edie and her younger sisters. Jules, always the demure, level-headed sister practically becomes undone when her longtime ago childhood friend Christopher (Kit) returns for her sister's wedding. But why is he there? Who even invited him? And why did he leave so abruptly years ago when tragedy struck his family? Kit has a secret that only his sister and mother know. Of course, his mother also harbors a secret. So much hidden baggage that nearly destroys relationships. What a gem of a story! So many tender, intimate and swoonworthy moments! And Grandma Edie's manipulative attempts to work things out for her family is a funny interlude! Can Jules and Kit overcome all odds of a future together? A wonderful romance!
Harry’s carefree wild spirit spoke to me from the very beginning. She is drawn to all things requiring help so when she meets a stern Duke who never smiles, she cannot help be pulled to him. Watching her draw him out and his internal battle of rules and expectations is incredibly intriguing. The readers emotions are drawn in as his are. But what is a Duke to do once he fully accepts his emotions and his love for a girl who is convinced she will never marry. The tables are then turned while the Duke tries to convince her that marriage does not have to mean giving up her identity. The way they both come to truly know and understand each other is beautiful, as is their commitment not to change each other.
Liam, believing her to be someone else, accidentally ruins Cora. Although it was she that he was attracted to, his family expected him to court another. The two marry due to the scandal, but lead separate lives. Liam doesn't know Cora has a scandalous secret and Cora doesn't realize her husband wants a true marriage, but thinks she is too innocent for what he'd like to do. This made for some very exciting interactions between the two. Loved the story and definitely recommend it!
Neither have any idea what they're doing, more so than usual, and neither have any idea how to be with someone. They navigate life the best they can and find love together.
I just loved this book all the humor and the romance and The angst
This is a lovely story between Cora and Liam, forced to marry in the previous book in this series due to a scandalous kiss. Can they ever learn to trust and love each other. Both feel unloved, unwanted and not good enough for their families. Will they listen to their bodies, and believe each other, and will they ever find a place to be alone. This book made me chuckle especially when everywhere they go to be alone, someone from their families is resident or turns up unexpectedly stopping the important connection and frustrating them both. As previous books, this author can paint the scene and the emotions easily and it is as if you are watching the movie and seeing it play out. I especially enjoyed when Liam finally stood his ground and told his Grandmother what she should do. These 2 deserve their happy ending.
I was soooo looking forward to their story. And let me tell you, it meet and exceeded all my expectations. It was simply excellent. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
