Want a prince? Ever tried kissing a frog?
NATHANIAL CASWELL no longer wants anything to do with women. Or marriage. Or love. Especially love!
After his fiancée leaves him for another, Nathanial is a broken man, his thoughts dominated by doubts and regrets. He no longer sees any beauty in life, certain it will always be thus. However, at his brother’s wedding celebration, Nathanial’s life is turned upside down for a second time.
A young woman with raven-black hair and insightful brown eyes approaches him and offers to be his friend. No matter what he does, Nathanial cannot sway her. She insists on being his friend, no more and no less. Simply a friend.
Nathanial has never been friends with a woman, but what does he have to lose?
MISS CHARLAINE PALMER knows the meaning of pain and loss, and the moment she spots Nathanial Caswell, she knows that he needs her. He needs her to be his friend.
And so, she teases him (as a friend would) and riles him (as a friend should). She forces him out of the house and drags him to a masquerade. She pulls him onto the dance floor and urges him along on a frog hunt. She pesters him until he relents, finally loses his shoes and walks barefoot through the lush summer grass.
And when Nathanial begins to smile again, his dazzling blue eyes lighting up with joy once more, Charlaine realizes that she just might want more than friendship from Nathanial.
But what if he doesn’t? Well, Charlaine has never been one to give up, and she will not start now.

This delightful story is Nathanial and Charlaine's romance. Nathanial is so broken after his engagement to Abigail is ended by her giving his engagement ring to another man. Nathanial travels from Boston to England for his twin brother's wedding celebration. While at the party at Pembroke, Nathanial is introduced to Charlaine, Pierces ward. Charlaine is a free spirit and kind and compassionate to everyone. When she sees Nathanials pain, she reaches out to him and tells him she will be a true friend to him, no strings attached. Nathanial teaches Charlaine to dance and she teaches him how to enjoy life again and to learn to trust.
A wicked witch, actually a confused and thoughtless ex-fiancé, has turned Nathaniel into a frog. He has hopped across the pond to escape the pain of the broken engagement. Charlaine has lost her family in Jamaica to illness has come to England to be with family friends. They are both somewhat lost and in need of a friend.
This is a cute, heartwarming rendition of the frog to prince fairytale. Nathaniel is wary of becoming too close. Charlaine is a kind happy person, full of life, and is determined to change this frog into her prince. There are lots of friends and family to nudge the couple toward a happy ending. The flower girls are adorable. Of course, we all know that fairytales end in happily ever after. I enjoyed and recommend this story and the Happy Ever Regency series. I do wonder where Emma is going in such a hurry, and why is Lord Ashhaven holding her shoe?
This series is full of surprises, Sister no 3, Prudence, the organiser, the sister who keeps to the shadows, who doesnt want a husband. Her Brother who is determined to find out why she does not wish to marry, and persuades his friend to find out. Enter Ben, prepared to go to any lengths to get what he wants, even a complete makeover, and a houseparty. Spending time with Pru changes his perspective, and he realises what he really wants and needs. The story was fun, and i like the banter between the characters, and the growth of the family. Each story is so different, I really am looking forward to the future instalments.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I would like to thank Wolf Publishing for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
A lovely e ending to the trilogy.
Evelyn Markham is determined not to marry the man her father has decided she should marry. Dalton Rochester is determined not to act on his feelings for Evelyn since she is the younger sister of his best friend.
Evelyn decides to approach Rochester for help to make sure she does not have to marry the man. All she wants from him is a little help in breaking a few rules but nothing too serious. Rochester does not want anything to do with this scheme especially the breaking of rules part.
Let the fun adventure begin!! I really loved Evelyn and Rochester’s story it was a lot of fun to read!! The book was very entertaining with all the witty banter between them and the twist and turns it took to get to their happy ending. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next book in the series!!
If you love friends to lovers and brother's best friend this is the book for you. Evelyn is independent and goes after what she wants. Rochester is there to fix any problems she gets into and eventually falls for Evelyn's antics. There is the perfect amount of drama, humor, and steam to keep you reading until the end. I look forward to the next book in this series.
I loved this enjoyable story, Evelyn knew her own mind and what she wanted, she made happen. Dalton had some emotional baggage that kept me closed off. I loved all the banter, twists, surprises, gripping scenes, and so much more that you won’t be able to put this one down. I loved everything Dalton did to get the outcomes he wanted. You won’t be disappointed, I sure wasn’t.
