This was such a cute little story. I thoroughly enjoyed it and had a blast as they found their happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Thanks to Wolf Publishing for an ARC of this book, the second in the new series, A Gentleman’s Guide to Courtship.” Just like in the first one, this one makes it clear that the Duke of Clearford, Samuel Merriweather, the man writing the guide, hasn’t a clue about how to woo a woman. And his sisters are there to prove his assumptions wrong, even if they won’t criticize him directly to his face. First, Tristan courted Andromeda, quickly discovering Samuel’s book was bunk. Now, Quinton is using the manual, ostensibly to court other women (not Lottie), and Lottie decides to sneak a look at the manual and use it on Quinton (hence, the title of the book).
Tldr: I recommend the book. It’s everything I’ve come to expect from Charlie Lane—humor, poignancy and spice. (I have a longer review, but space is limited on this website.)
A wonderful story by a talented author. Very entertaining and definitely a unique storyline. An Earl is fascinated by Tassandra, a sea captain who gives tours around the bay. Even though the Earl has a fear of water he asks Tassy to teach him to sail. The story has passion, scandal, villains and maybe even a little meddling but definitely a HEA.
It's an unlikely match between an earl and the lady captain of a ship called the Miss Mercury.
Fraser Castwell, Earl of Stanton, has a long standing fear of water, but once on the deck of the ship, his attention is more on the captain, Tassandra Devenport, than the water. It's no smooth sailing when this couple is forced into a pretend engagement, but the fire between them only grows stronger the more they face an enemy together. The ladies at The Seaside Boarding House at Burnham-On-Sea congratulate themselves on another merger. Descriptive sex and some scary villains.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book from the publisher.
This is a well written book that tells the story of two people who have different dreams or plans of what they want in life. That is, until they meet each other. There is mystery, interesting characters, a villian or two and lots of friction and fun in this story along with romance and love.
